PAYSA's recreational program offers children an opportunity to play soccer no matter their skill level or ability. The program is divided by age and boys and girls play separately. The age catagories are as follows:
U4. For 3 year olds. NEW for 2012. Thirty minutes each week of tiny kids kicking soccer balls! We think this program addition will be nothing but fun!
U6. For ages 4 and 5. Children participate in fun-filled, hour-long Little Kickers clinics on Saturday mornings for six to eight weeks beginning in September. This program is designed to create a fun learning environment that teaches basic skills through games. Parents are expected to remain on site for the duration of the clinics. Fee: $60
U8. For ages 6 and 7. This program focuses on the very basics of soccer with an emphasis on understanding the game, ball handling and being part of a team. Players play short-sided (usually 5 to a side) and the emphasis is on having fun and developing basic skills. There is a weekly practice and a weekly game. Parents are expected to stay during practice and game time.. Players will be notified of team assignments on or around August 15. Practices begin in late August. Fee: $65 before July 31, $80 beginning August 1.
U10. For ages 8 and 9. This program helps children develop a sense of the game, the various positions, and how to work effectively as a team. Ball handling and basic skill development are a primary focus. Teams practice twice a week and play one game per week. Players will be notified of team assignments on or around August 15. Practices begin in late August. Fee: $65 before July 31, $80 beginning August 1.
U12. Ages 10 and 11. This program helps children develop a more sophisticated sense of the game, the various positions, and how to work effectively as a team. Ball handling and basic skill development remain a primary focus. Teams practice twice a week and play one game per week. Players will be notified of team assignments on or around August 15. Practices begin in late August. Fee: $65 before July 31, $80 beginning August 1..
