Welcome to PAYSA Soccer Programs!

PAYSA serves over 1,000 local kids each year with soccer programs built for fun, growth, and skill development. Our programs are designed to match players with the right level of play for their age and experience. We emphasize learning over winning, there are no formal standings, and younger players play small-sided games (6v6 or 8v8) to maximize touches on the ball and build confidence on the field.

Here’s a quick look at the programs we offer:

Recreation Program

Our largest program! Open to ages 6–11, this fall league focuses on learning the game, having fun, and playing with friends. Players are assigned to local teams and matched against other teams from the Portland area. No tryouts, no scores, just plenty of time to grow skills and love the game.

PAYSA Minis

A special introduction for our youngest players, ages 4–5. Minis sessions focus on playful games and fun drills that build basic motor and soccer skills. It’s all about smiles, laughter, and running with the ball!

Travel Program

For players ages 8–13 looking for more competitive play, our travel teams face off against clubs from across southern Maine. Players join through a tryout process in June and represent PAYSA at home and away games, sharpening their skills against top local talent.

Winter Footskills & Futsal

This winter program focuses on footskills, agility, and small-sided futsal games in an indoor setting. Great for staying active and sharp between fall and spring seasons.

Spring Skills

A 6–8 week spring program designed to keep players engaged between seasons. Weekly training sessions focus on technique, ball control, and tactical awareness — a great option for players eager to keep improving.

Premier Programs

For families seeking an even higher level of play and year-round commitment, premier soccer programs are offered by outside partner clubs. While not run directly by PAYSA, we’re happy to provide recommendations if you’re looking for next-level competition.
